Posts and tweets when looking for a job search and when being in the application process
As a potential job candidate you need to be aware that that your future boss or the HR director will surfe on Facebook, Xing, Twitter or Linkedin to gather information about you. The outcome of this research is more important to them than your short application.
Not only party photos, but also "likes" and "comments" about former employers and bosses will be consideres. A bad comment does not mean that you have to go to court but it is very likely not to improve your image. Our tip: Job seekers have to pay close attention to the content of the application documents with its profiles and comments in the social media.
Contradictions and disparaging remarks about former bosses and colleagues do not reflect well on a candidate and often turn out to have a reverse effect. Those who want to let off steam about the job will do would in the coffee kitchen or with close friends. That was true so in former times and is true today.
